Just as everyone is individual, so are their treatments. It could take 6 months up to 2 years or more to complete
treatments. The length of time it takes depends on what you have done previously to your hair, how much heat you can tolerate,

As you get farther into treatments the hairs will be dying off so you can go longer between treatments and
the treatment time will become shorter

Not if your electrologist is taking proper preventative measures. A sterile disposable filament
is used for each treatment.

11. Are there different types of electrolysis?
Yes! There are three forms.
- Galvanic was the first method of
electrolysis invented. A current is used for breaking down the salt
and water in the follicle to produce lye which destroys the papilla
area. This method is time consuming in order to achieve the necessary
action.
- Thermolysis which is also called short
wave is a high frequency current(radio wave). The heat is usually
delivered for a fraction of a second.
- Blend is a combination of both Thermolysis and
Galvanic currents. Thermolysis speeds up the chemical reaction
produced by Galvanic. Blend is slightly slower than Thermolysis but
much quicker than Galvanic.
