1. Does it hurt?
You will feel a slight pinching sensation that increases with higher levels of heat.
Most people find it quite tolerable and some people have even fallen asleep during treatment.

2. How does electrolysis
work?
Trained professionals permanently eliminate the growth cells of unwanted hair with short-wave, galvanic or the blend method.
Treatments are safe and permanent.

3. Are there any
reactions?
Your facial area may turn red for 1 to 1 1/2 hours after treatment then it will return to normal.
Other parts of the body are most sensitive and may have more temporary reactions.

4. How many treatments does it
take?
Just as everyone is individual, so are their treatments. It could take 6 months up to 2 years or more to complete
treatments. The length of time it takes depends on what you have done previously to your hair, how much heat you can tolerate,
how often you go for treatment, your skin type, location of your hair and the cause of your hair problem.
As you get farther into treatments the hairs will be dying off so you can go longer between treatments and
the treatment time will become shorter

5. Is it
permanent?
Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanent hair removal.

6.How much does it
cost?
The cost will vary with each person depending on the area and amount of hair to be removed.
The total cost may be less than temporary methods. Consult a professional electrologist in your area
for fees charged.

with referrals from doctors.

10. Can I catch diseases from electrolysis?
Not if your electrologist is taking proper preventative measures. A sterile disposable filament
is used for each treatment.

11. Are there different types of electrolysis?
Yes! There are three forms.
- Galvanic was the first method of
electrolysis invented. A current is used for breaking down the salt
and water in the follicle to produce lye which destroys the papilla
area. This method is time consuming in order to achieve the necessary
action.
- Thermolysis which is also called short
wave is a high frequency current(radio wave). The heat is usually
delivered for a fraction of a second.
- Blend is a combination of both Thermolysis and
Galvanic currents. Thermolysis speeds up the chemical reaction
produced by Galvanic. Blend is slightly slower than Thermolysis but
much quicker than Galvanic.
